Mime and UUencode

UNIX filter - remove all codes - Automation

As an independent translator you will have to transfer files via the internet.
MIME and uuencode are standards for transferring attachments (also called compound documents).
MIME is an Internet standard which allows transfer of binary files (word-processing documents, spreadsheets, images, sounds, executables...) between any compliant mail systems. MIME includes support for international character sets, tagging each part of a message with the character set it is written in, and providing 7-bit encoding of 8-bit character sets.
It is advised to use MIME as the default protocol in your mail system.
